It IS one big file. The list is just the list of songs on the one big mp3 file.

I use Windoze so I'm going to use the software available for it as example of how to proceed. Not sure about other OSes but there should be similar tools available.

You could get a simple audio tool like WavePad (the freeware version is all you need) or something more robust like Acoustic Mixcraft (use it during it's one week eval period) and practice your audio editing techniques.

I use Mixcraft for my daily Cabale News Service rips (and no, they don't pay me to plug it albeit I am on their beta testing team). It is easy to use. You can just put the one big MP3 in a channel and then put markers where the tracks are. When you mix down you'll end up with separate audio files. Just be sure to get it all done during the evaluation period because it's not cheapware (although it is MUCH less expensive than Soundforge, ProTools) Then, if you didn't name the markers, get MP3tag or some other tagging tool and use the list on the detail page to tag the individual files.
